How to choose a career?
The difficulty of this question is completely dependent on how much you know YOURSELF. It is stated that career starts when you are in 9th std, up to an extent it is true. But how can a 14 year old child know what exactly he/she wants, at that age what we look forward is to go back home and play cricket or watch T.V shows, what mom would have prepared for dinner or to reach home and sleep. So what is the method to know what exactly you want to be? Let us strategically figure out how to find your perfect career.
What you like to do?
You may like many things, you may be an uncertain soul, and you do a lot of things and leave when you find something new. It happens with almost every teenager, but there is a minute difference between a hobby and a passion.
The hobby is an activity that you do when you have free time and passion is something for which you take time out from your schedule. So, find that one thing for which you make efforts, for which you are ready to go that extra mile.
Is it feasible?
Once you have found your passion the next step is to check whether it is possible to pursue a future in that field. There are many factors which can affect your future like your country, surroundings, financial stability, the scope of that field, the relevance of that field, etc. It is not a good idea to open a tanning shop in West Indies. Probably the most important step of your journey, this step requires a lot of research work, contact professional of that filed, track growth, future prospects, if needed consult a counselor.
Form a plan:-
Once you have decided your goal now the next step is to form a career path. The career path is nothing but dividing your goal into small checkpoints, one step at a time. For eg. When you plan a trip you first decide the destination then book tickets after that you decide places to visit, etc. Just like that, you have to form small checkpoints and plan accordingly. Study planner is a guide which helps you to form a plan to achieve your goal, you can make daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly goals and make time table accordingly.
Track your Progress:-
After forming a plan it is very essential to keep a track of your progress, to know whether you are achieving what you thought. If no, then find out the reasons that are affecting your growth. Stay away from distractions and other activities that have no relevance to your goal. Do not ever mistake an activity to an achievement, activity is a temporary achievement is permanent.
