What is the value of Result, Percentage, Grades, Marks?

In this era each and every parent is concerned about their children grades as it will reveal how their life would unfold in future years, up to an extent they are not wrong either. You always wish the best for your child but is it right to gauge their ability in terms of percentage, grades or marks? This question is still unanswered but still I will try to make a sense out of this quantitative measurement system.

Of course, it is very important to evaluate your result to decide whether you are going in the right direction or whether you are putting your efforts in right direction. Sometimes you might fail and to an extent failure is essential because it gives you an opportunity which success can never give I.E an opportunity to improve yourself, to do it with more conviction and in a different way than the last time. All the successful personnel has failed in their respective field which pushed them to achieve great heights and the reason behind it is curiosity, to know what is lacking in you, your efforts, and in your vision. This what differs you from a layman.

Many students get depressed because of poor result and it is completely normal and the solution is very easy, just calculate your efforts in respective of your result. You will get your answer! What you did is PAST, How you evaluate your result is PRESENT and How much you improve will decide your FUTURE. As you can feel, it is not a quantum science, it is as easy as this.

Now the role of parents is very critical in building a child’s future as they are their constant companion through rough and smooth times. Do not criticize or compare your children with anyone, Never! What you do when a plant becomes dry? You don’t throw it in garbage, you handle it with more care. This is what you have to do with your children too, talk with them encourage them and support them in every aspect you can do. Give him/her a positive atmosphere to grow as you can’t change what is done in the past but you can surely impact his/her future in positive or in negative way, the choice is up to you.

Hence, let’s not make a buzz about result whether good or bad, it’s a representation of your efforts in past. Set a goal, make efforts with conviction and results will follow.
